An avid student of photography for most of my life, I carry my camera bag with me both on international trips and for everyday activities. In my work, I am always looking to capture those beautiful and intriguing moments that surround us all the time, but which we so often tend to overlook in the face of everyday temporal pressures. These may be the shape of a leaf or a snail shell, the placement of chairs in a cafe, the unexpected texture of a rock or tree, or the varied colors of a shop or a wharf. On international trips, I seek to capture what makes each place special in an increasingly homogenized world. You will probably find that most of my photographs are contemplative, thought-provoking, and influenced by the aesthetics of nature, architecture, and meditation.
For the last quarter-century, I have used Nikon equipment.
